I have not done ANY mechanical work on this boat, (except for oil changes). All has been professionally done at performance shops and I have pretty much ALL receipts and documentation.
Outdrive:
OMC Cobra-1.43:1 gear ratio, rebuilt 05/05 at the cost of $3000.00
I have it serviced every year for an oil change and water pump. Was just serviced on 7-11-08.
The shift cable was replaced last year 2007, and the shift cable housing changed this year on 7-11-08.
Hull:
Good shape. Very solid with no bubbles, dents, or soft spots. It has a few chips and scratches. I have shown the worst two chips in the pics. One in front by the winch hook, and one on the side. Other than that, the gelcoat is still in good shape, and with a buff job, shines like the sun! Sits high and dry in the water. Never get wet!
Trailer:
-Original Fulton trailer with some minor rust spots on the step pads. Custom fit, the boat fits like a glove on this trailer. Drive on or winch on. Bearings all replaced last year. New galvanized wheels (07/08), and tires are ok.
Heavy Duty coupler 2" Ball added. This trailer had brakes originally, but rusted completely. The brake hubs were replaced with standard hubs. It tows great even at 80mph on the highway. I pull it with a 3500 dually or my AWD Escalade and have no problems stopping it or hauling it.
Repairs/Additions I have made are the follows:
-Floor was soft, rear half section of floor was cut out, 3/4 marine plywood screwed down then fiberglassed the seams. Stringers in this hull are solid fiberglass and run frt to bck and across the hull.
-New carpet.
-All upholstery I have done myself with exception of the captain chairs which were purchased.
-Pioneer Premier CD/MP3 player. Clarion Marine Amplifier. Pioneer Marine 10" woofers with mid-ranges. All purchased new cost of $800.00 July/06
-Bimini top. All Stainless Steel tubing and fittings. Yellow Canvas. Boot Cover. Bimini was custom made to allow me to stand up while driving. I’m 6’ tall. Cost $950.00
-Rear divider boards vinyl upholstered to create safe storage areas.
-Twin 875CA Marine Deep Cycle batteries. New in 3/08 with warranty.
-Perko HD Battery selector.
-Front Bow and Cockpit Covers (Snap-on) Black Canvas. Cost $1200.00
Other:
-Pictures and Decription do not do this boat justice. Imagine if you will, you firing up this boat at the dock and everyone within a mile of you can hear and feel this boat running. They stare at you wishing their little outboard commanded attention like you. Nice huh? This boat sounds and looks awesome to say the least.
-I have GPS’d it at 63MPH with a full tank of fuel and 4 people on board. This is only at about 5000RPM, and it definatly has more. With prop and carb tuning I’m sure more mph is possible. My fiancee only wants to ride at 30mph so top speed wasn’t that important to me.
-As far as I know, I am the 3rd owner. The orig. owner was a gentleman from Illinois. I purchased it in April of 06 from a very nice guy down here in FL who had the engine and outdrive rebuild work done. He was very knowledegable about what he wanted as far as performance, but also wanted reliability. He sold because of his family growing in size. When I bought it, the interior was trashed. I do that kind of work professionally, so I did the complete interior. It is all Marine quality vinyl and should last for years with proper care.
-I have only ran it in saltwater since I bought it. I flush it for a minimum of 20 minutes with fresh water directly after each use. (Within 1 hour or less)
-I also wash it top to bottom with soap and water completely. Then dry.
-It has been stored inside since I bought it.
-I forgot to mention I had a small exhaust leak the beginning of this summer and was getting some salt water trickling down the manifolds between them and the risers. I did change the gaskets myself. While I had the manifolds off the boat I fully inspected the inner exhaust ports where the salt water runs thru for cooling, and they were very clean. No salt build up AT ALL after two years because of my flushing. I repainted the manifolds and risers gloss black Rustoleum. Tightened to mercruiser specs.
-Everything on the boat works properly except for the power trim guage. It does not work at all. Also, the power steering pump leaks a little. I normally top it off for each use. I have a reman. pump that has not been used that I have not had time to put on yet. I will include it in the auction.
Other guages:
-Oil Temp reads fine and running temp is 180º
-Water Pressure for cooling pruposes
-Fuel reads correct but sometimes stops reading if fuel gets below 1/4 tank. I was told fuel capacity was 50GAL
-Voltage reads true
-Tach and Speedo both work properly
-Lights, Blower, and Horn all work.
-Never used the bilge pump or the windshield wiper so I’m not sure on those. (No wiper blade)
-Split windshield needs some adjustment but opens and closes ok.
-Has Sink with fresh water reserve for onboard clean-up.
-Front and Rear Anchors with ropes.
-Three docking lines
-This is a fairly heavy hull and cuts thru the water nicely. You can run full speed in 1-3ft seas.
-Two Rear Straps(Hull to Trailer)
Because Everybody Asks:
I am selling to help in the purchase of a house. I have owned many boats over the years, and this is the ONLY ONE that I am going to hate myself for selling. It has given me no problems and nothing but fun and great memories for two years now. Every time I start it up it feels like the first time, and I get chills. I love to just drive it arround and just listen to it run. This is truely a great, reliable, and fun boat that will give you years of enjoyment with little to no trouble at all.
