Observations about the Owens yacht:
To 'ready the yacht for launch' will require approx. 1 week of work:
- Re-caulk any areas required (annual maintenance)
- Go over 'electricals' in head, clean head
- Repair a loose 'stanchion' on front deck area
- Sand refinish front and read decks (teak/ mahogany) as you wish for 'high gloss'
- Smaller repairs as needed for launch are fully detailed in the expert survey from 2007
- General estimate on 'ready to launch' time is 1 week of work; approx. expenses $500 - $1,000.

Happy Bidding! Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions!
Enjoy the rest of the summer on your beautiful wooden yacht!!
NOTE: all photos below are 'current' with exception of 'Owens in water' - from last year.
You will see in photos below:
--- Overall the boat paint job is in very good condition.
-- The wood (teak / mahogany) is in very good condition.
- I have started to 'strip' and 'sand' the decks to refinish for a 'classic' yacht look.
- I will not do the final 'finish' on decks as there are 2 approaches a) oil or b)varnish
and these result in a very different ' look' so I will leave that choice to new owner.
Otherwise, if I do 'teak oil' and you prefer 'high gloss' you'll have to strip the decks again!
So, I am 'preparing the decks' for the final refinishing but you will choose your own finish.
The marina photo (last pic) is where the Owens is located RIGHT NOW, in August of 2008.
The yacht is right behind the 'white boxy' building in the final photo below, in 'dry dock' next to the building.
