Up for auction I have a 1979 Corvette full chassis Drag car. This car was lightly rolled at NYIRP begining of season! The car was professionally built using Art Morrison Pieces. Over the past several years this car began being street driven then doul purpose as a drag car. The car was brought to my race shop and rear halved using Art Morrison parts, 2x3 mild steel 4 link frame rails and cross members, tubs for 14x32 tires, Shock crossmember, Panhard bar, wheelie bars, coilover shocks, 4 link, 9" Ford rearend, Mosier race axels, Fuel cell , and battery box. After being raced for several years , 2 years ago we front halved the car with Art Morrison 2x3 front strut subframe, 3" travel racing struts, new rac, Wilwood disc brakes, front motor plate, midmout, 12 pt cage, steering shaft and joints. The center frame work is the original corvette frame with the cage tied directly to it and reinforced. After the rear 1/2 was completed the car was used only for dragracing. This car was put on a jig and put together to insure a straight and square car during the build process. After the roll over the car was brought to my shop and placed on my chassis jig and checked for straight. After it was checked I informed my customer he had 2 options, 1- put a new roof on it and fix the fiberglass, paint the car and go back racing or leave the top off fill in the back package tray area with alm, and install a short lexan wind shield to make an open roadster out of it. My customer decided at age 60 and being retired and having raced for the past 30 odd years it was time to quit! The car has been dissasembled and being parted out! The first pieces being offered are the body and chassis with the pieces shown in the pictures. I have the remaining parts which will be offered through my other auctions. What you see in the pictures is what is being sold in this auction. I have all the paper work for the parts with dates of installation and the complete customer file for the parts that pertain to this auction. This will be a pick up only auction! Check it out and e-mail me with any questions! The car was NHRA Sportsman Certified until the rollover, The car will need to be recertified! There will be a Reserve on this auction. That reserve will be well below the cost of having this work redone with the parts used! If your looking for some nice parts here they are!! Again I have all the reciepts for the parts used during this build! A $500.00 deposit is due at close of auction and the balance due at pickup! Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
