Hello-
What we've got here is a piece of Independent Film History! This is the ACTUAL "Further" bus used in the 2007 IFC film "Neal Cassady".
The film is the story of what happened to Neal Cassady after Jack Kerouac's "On The Road" came out. Deals primarily with Neal's
relationship to his fictional alter-ego, Dean Moriarty. (The film is now being shown on IFC on Demand on Digital Cable/DirectTV) The bus
is a 1987 Chevrolet s6000 that was closely modeled to the original 1939 International Harvester "Further" Bus for the film. It was
purchased and the major bodywork was performed here in Southern Ohio, then transported to NYC for painting and dressing for the film.
The bus has a 350 engine and 5 speed transmission. No CDL is required. It runs and drives good it is just a little cold natured. The bunk
beds and long bench seats are still there, as seen in the film. The bus always draws lots of attention wherever it goes and would make a great
