Vehicle Description
HARKERS ISLAND BUILT 1956 BY EUGENE CHADWICK Currently being rebuilt/restored as a live on boat. 2/3 complete. Cabin extended. 400 HP Turbo Charged Cummins Diesel Capitol 2 to l reduction gear, 3” shaft & 24” x 24” square prop. New 1” x 6” steel rudder shoe for rudder protection. The bottom is fiberglassed, water line down. New bumpers around waist. All NEW decking through out. NEW extended cabin. The hull is constructed out of Juniper and heart pine framed. NEW fuel tanks 400 gal under deck. NEW water tanks 330 gal under deck. All bad plywood has been replaced. The waist and forward cabin is all fiberglassed. The boat is 40.90’ long and 14” wide. The draft is 3’. Coast Guard approved toilet. Steering station needs work. 5 bunks and V birth. Inside cabin is not finished. Sliding glass door at back of cabin. Starter on motor just rebuilt. First fishing party boat to operate out of Ocracoke was owned and captained by George Robinson. 1950’s and 1960’s.
